Extremely high boiling point
Gold Hydraulic Oil has an extremely high initial boiling point of 360 °C/680 °F.
Preventing your brake oil from boiling means keeping your bite point and power consistent.
Very high viscosity index
Gold Hydraulic Oil has a very high viscosity index of 200.
This means it will not resist flow even through extreme temperature changes.
In combination with an extremely high boiling point, the high viscosity index provides the most precise and consistent braking performance. This includes eliminating the issue of migrating bite point.
Extended durability
Gold Hydraulic Oil is very durable as it does not degrade much due to time or heat and has a very small evaporation loss. This ensures extended service intervals.
Evaporation characteristics of Gold Hydraulic Oil have been compared with Shimano hydraulic mineral oil in a Noack volatility test. This is a standard test for evaporation loss of lubricants in which a sample is heated to 250 °C for 60 minutes. The lost weight fraction is the result of the Noack volatility test.
